Health and education are critical to future success, thus the Nancy & Hilary Guatemala Health and Education Foundation supports Guatemalan led efforts serving under-served communities, including supporting education efforts at the Escuela San Bartolome and the future technical college at the Hogar Miguel Magone. As 1/2 of Guatemalan births occur in homes without a formally trained medical provider we present theHelping Babies Breathe workshop, a lay midwife training program in collaboration with ASECSA Guatemala, and support Dr. Erick Estrada and his team at Salud Que Transforme with infant resuscitation and other medical training programs.

Sorry for the quite delayed response! I didn’t see (nor was notified via the site, as I likely didn’t make the settings right!) this until now. If you’re still interested, please send me an email to sjpont@yahoo.com and would love to chat. Thanks!
